When I saw this converse shoe nail tutorial I knew I had to post it! Admittedly I do not appear to be a huge fan of sneakers but that doesn’t mean I don’t wear them from time to time. And it definitely does not mean that I don’t like Converse shoes nails! Theyre such a cute idea and after watching this tutorial they look super easy to do, perhaps I’ll give them a try sometime after fashion week. You may know Kristofer Buckle has the man behind all the great make up looks you’ve seen on X Factor contestants but to be honest with you I do not watch that show, with the exception of last night when I saw R Kelly come on and I flipped out for a minute or two.. I know him as a make up artist that has created tons of great beauty looks for magazines covers and not to mention if you have seen any red carpet moments recently you have definitely seen some of his amazing work. Kristofer took some time out of his busy schedule to talk with us about holiday beauty looks, dealing with hang over face and even his new years resolution. Well first let me start by saying, I cut my hair!! I told you guys on twitter that I did but I haven’t really published any photos of my new ‘do until now. I love my new hairstyle!! Just like last time I cut my hair, I had my bf do all the work for me. He really is a dear! I chose this hairstyle because I love Louise Brooks (google her) and I wanted to have a hairstyle that always looks done. It’s definitely more up keep than my previous half shaved look which I am currently growing out. With my hair being so thick it’s easy to cover up the shaved side while it goes through its ugly phase but it is definitely not easy to keep my hair straight. That is where the fine folks at Missiko.com basically answered my prayers and sent me the Hana Ceramic Flat Iron to try out. The gift box that it came in was so cute! (more…)
The XD Experience gives Evolution Man products a try

I believe in good skin care for all, including men! I have always wondered how men can get away with not using lotion or all of the other skin care regimens that women tend to obsess over. So when samples of Evolution Man came my way I knew I had to find a man whos opinion I trust to try them, enter our new mens skin care guru who is as fabulous as he is tall (he’s real tall) my friend XD aka @theXDexperience on twitter and youtube. He gave the products from Evolution Man a go and what he had to say about them is below!
The good people at Evolution Man, a premiere skin care line for men, sent us some pretty awesome products for me to try. My favorite was the lip balm. It’s $10 and kept my lips hydrated for several hours. I only needed to reapply a couple times only after eating. The balm is light and doesn’t leave your lips feeling glossy or greasy. What I would love to see from their lip line is a lip emollient or some type of lip scrub to teach men that it is NEVER okay to apply chapstick on overly chapped lips.
I also liked the hydrating moisturizer with SPF 20. It was light and didn’t feel like it was clogging up my pours like other some facial lotions and topical face creams. Evolution Man also carries a tinted moisturizer. Great for those who want to even out their complexion and have a little coverage over trouble areas. I’m a darker complexion of that in which they offer the moisturizer, but hopefully they offer an array of colors soon!

Today on twitter celebrity stylist June Ambrose revealed a natural beauty secret to all of her followers, the egg white facial. It sounds a little scary to put a raw egg on your face but June says if you beat one egg white, slather on to your face and let dry before rinsing face throughly this facial will help improve your skins elasticity. June says she does this facial about twice a month, so it must really be good! I am going to give it a try myself later today. If you try it too let me know in the comments below!
Egg White Facial Ala June Ambrose:
Needed:
1 egg
1 bowl for mixing
1 fork for beating
Directions:
Crack egg and seperate egg white from yolk. You will only use the egg white for this facial so you can throw out the yolk or use it for something else (cesar salad dressing maybe?). Beat the egg white until it is slightly frothy. Apply egg white liberally to your face avoiding the area too close to your eyes, as you would do with any facial. Allow to dry, about 10-15minutes before rinsing face throughly with warm water. Pat dry and enjoy your skins renewed elasticity!

That face right there, thats my I’ve been on tumblr all day face.. In addition to being on tumblr all day I also gave my nails a fresh coat of paint. I picked up my new color “For Audrey” by China Glaze the other day when I wandered into a random beauty supply to celebrate my trip to the DMV to get a NY ID card. The guy in the beauty supply talked for like 20mins about how Essie sucks and OPI is boring, China Glaze is the future or so he says… I don’t know if thats true but I really liked this color it was only $5 bucks so naturally I was sold! To me it looks even better on than in the bottle!
